MiraEducate

A learning academy for children

Find the right tutor for your child's learning needs.

MiraEducate is a learning academy. We match your child with a qualified, vetted tutor for live classes in the subject and curriculum they need, from Early Years foundations to WAEC, JAMB, Cambridge IGCSE and GCSE exam preparation.

Our method

We don't just teach the subject. We understand the learner.

Every learner goes through the same four stages, so the plan fits the child rather than the other way round.

Profile

We get to know your child: how they learn, where they are, and what they need.

Pinpoint

We identify exactly where the gaps and strengths are, not only their year group average.

Plan

We build a structured learning plan around what your child needs next.

Progress

We teach, track progress, and adjust the plan as your child grows.

Who we work with

Learning support for children, families, tutors and schools

MiraEducate helps children learn, gives parents access to the support they need, trains tutors to teach well, and works with schools that need extra teaching support.

Learners

Attend scheduled classes, complete assignments, sit assessments, and ask Mira for help along the way.

Our subjects and programmes

What would you like to learn?

We offer support in Mathematics, English, Science, languages and other school subjects. Children can also prepare for exams, improve their reading, join a learning programme or explore a new skill. There are different options to suit each learner's needs.

Live online tutoring

Scheduled classes, over live video: one-on-one, in pairs, or in small groups.

Home tutoring

A tutor working with your child in person, in cities such as Lagos and Abuja, wherever a suitable tutor is available.

Structured learning programmes

Organised by level and subject, so a lesson today builds on what was actually covered last time.

Examination preparation

Focused, past-paper-driven preparation for WAEC, JAMB, NECO, Cambridge IGCSE, GCSE and more.

Homeschool support

Subject-specific tutoring that fits alongside a family's existing homeschool routine.

Academic coaching

For a specific struggling topic, an upcoming test, or building study habits that stick.

Where we work

How it works

Three steps, start to finish

From telling us what your child needs, to their first class. No account or payment is needed to start.

  1. Step 1

    Tell us about your child

Their level, the subject, which curriculum their school follows, and what you are hoping to achieve.

  2. Step 2

    Book a consultation

We talk through your child's needs, then send our recommendation: the support, subjects or programme, lesson format, schedule and fees.

  3. Step 3

    Learning begins

Your child's tutor assesses them on the first day of classes, builds their learning plan from the results, and you follow lesson reports and progress.

Why families trust our tutors

Every tutor is vetted before they teach your child

Before a tutor teaches a single class on MiraEducate, we review their application, interview them, and ask them to demonstrate how they teach, not only what they know. We check a reference, and every tutor completes training before they start teaching. Throughout that process, this is what we look for:

Subject competence

Deep knowledge of the subject they teach, not the bare minimum to stay a step ahead.

Teaching experience

Knowing a subject and teaching it well are different skills. We look for both.

Communication

Can they explain the same idea two or three different ways, until it lands?

Technology skills

Confident and comfortable running a live online class.

Professionalism

Reliable, on time, and someone a family can trust with their child's learning.

A growth mindset

Willing to be coached, to adjust an approach that is not working, and to keep improving.

New tutors teach on a probation basis before a full, ongoing engagement. We check quality continually, not only when someone is hired.

Your AI assistant

Meet Mira

Mira is MiraEducate's AI assistant, built into the platform for visitors, parents, learners, tutors and school staff. Ask Mira about programmes, get a concept explained a different way, or check your own family's account. Mira explains and guides; it never does a learner's graded work for them.
