Frequently asked questions
Getting started
How do I enrol my child?
Submit a short parent enquiry and book a consultation. We then send our recommendation with the schedule and fees. When you go ahead, we enrol your child and email you a secure link to activate your family account. On the first day of classes your child's tutor assesses them, and their personal learning plan is built from the results.
Can my child have their own login?
Yes. A guardian can set up an independent login for a learner. Once activated, your child can sign in, take assessments, view assignments and lesson reports, and access their own dashboard, separate from yours.
What subjects and programmes are available?
The full, current list is always on our Programmes and Subjects pages. It is managed by the MiraEducate team and grows over time, so it is never hard-coded here.
Which curricula do you support?
MiraEducate supports learners on the Nigerian, British, Cambridge, American/Common Core, IB and Canadian curricula. Browse our Programmes and Exam Preparation pages to see what is currently published, or ask us directly about your child's specific curriculum.
Do you tutor Nigerian families living abroad?
Yes. Lessons are online, so families in the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States and elsewhere can work with MiraEducate tutors. We schedule classes around your time zone, and can support the Nigerian curriculum alongside the British, American and Canadian curricula your child may be following.
Which examinations do you prepare learners for?
Our published examination programmes cover WAEC, NECO, Junior WAEC, JAMB, Common Entrance and school entrance examinations, Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, GCSE and the SAT. Preparation is built around past-paper practice and exam technique with a tutor. See the Exam Preparation page for what is currently offered.
When will my child be assessed?
Not before you enrol. On your child's first day of classes, their tutor carries out an initial assessment in the subject they are enrolled in, and your child's personal learning plan is built from the results. Later lesson reports and assessments keep that plan up to date.
Tutoring & learning
How are tutors vetted?
Every tutor goes through an application and vetting process before they are allowed to teach. Only vetted tutors can be matched with learners.
How does scheduling work?
Classes happen live, over video, at scheduled times: one-on-one, in pairs, or in small groups. Tutors declare their weekly availability, and sessions are booked against it.
Do you offer home tutoring, or only online?
Both. Online tutoring works wherever you live, in Nigeria or abroad, in any time zone. Home tutoring is arranged in Nigerian cities such as Lagos and Abuja wherever a suitable tutor is available for your area, your child's level and their subjects. Tell us your area in the parent enquiry and we will confirm what is possible.
Can I see how my child is progressing?
Yes. Lesson reports, assignments, and assessment results are all visible to your family as they happen.
Payments & privacy
How does payment work?
The amount owed for an enrolment is shown before you pay, processed securely, and confirmed automatically once payment succeeds. Your enrolment then becomes active.
Is my family's information private?
Yes. Your family's data is only ever visible to your own family, the tutors actually assigned to your child, and MiraEducate staff with a legitimate reason to access it, never to another family.
Mira, our AI assistant
What is Mira?
Mira is MiraEducate's AI assistant, built into the platform. Mira can answer questions about MiraEducate, help explain a concept, and, for signed-in users, help you find your own information. It is one Mira for everyone; what it can access depends on who is signed in.
Can Mira do my child's homework or assessments?
No. Mira explains and guides; it does not complete graded work. It will not provide answers to active assessment or assignment questions, even if asked directly.
Tutors & schools
How do I become a tutor?
Apply on our Become a Tutor page; no account is needed. Every application goes through review, an interview, a teaching demonstration and a reference check. After that we email you a secure link to set up your tutor account, where training and probation take place before full engagement.
How do schools partner with MiraEducate?
School accounts are set up by our team, not through self-service signup. Reach out through our Contact page and we will talk through what your school needs.
What is TeachInBliss?
TeachInBliss is MiraEducate's educator-development arm. It supports teachers and tutors who want to grow as digital educators, become confident online tutors, or build their professional presence. Register your interest on the Become a Tutor page and we will talk through the pathway that fits you.
